This message is from both the marina group led by Jake Banta and the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. The announcement is required since the outgoing marina concessionaire has erroneously informed boat owners that they must remove their boats from the marina in the near future.
Announcement:
Those working on the local initiative, led by Representative Jake Banta, to save the North East Marina are coordinating closely with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission and want to ensure boat owners that they do not need to remove their boats from the Marina property.
AT THIS TIME, NO BOAT OWNER AT THE NORTH EAST MARINA IS UNDER ANY TYPE OF MANDATE TO REMOVE THEIR BOAT FROM THE MARINA PROPERTY.
The North East Community Marina Authority is scheduled to become a registered entity within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on May 7, 2024.
The PA Fish and Boat Commission hopes to create a working partnership with the new Authority to open and operate the Marina for the 2024 season, while the two organizations negotiate the transfer of the North East Marina from the Commission to the North East Community Marina Authority.
More information will follow once the Authority’s inaugural board of directors is appointed on May 6th and the Authority’s Articles of Incorporation are filed with and accepted by the Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth on May 7, 2024.
Thank you!
