Tonight’s meetings for the North East Borough council and North East Township planning have some interesting items on the agenda.
North East Borough Council
The borough council will meet tonight at 6PM. There will be a public hearing to begin:
Ordinance No. 927 – Comprehensive Parking Ordinance
Ordinance No. 928 – Repeal of Ordinance No. 916 Establishing a Residential Rental Inspection Program
After the public hearing, the normal meeting will begin and under new business, two draft ordinances will be introduced:
Draft Ordinance No. 929 – Administrative Search Warrant
Draft Ordinance No. 930 – Ordinance to Vacate a Portion of the Public Alley
North East Township Planning
The township planning meeting at 7PM will discuss two proposed solar projects in North East:
One is a further discussion of the project on Rte 89 and Crawford Road. The results of any revisions will be sent to the township supervisors for their review at the meeting immediately afterwards at 7:30PM.
The other project is one proposed by ESG Energy Holdings, LLC for the former Paschke property at Interstate 90 and Rte 20.
