North East Borough Water Authority Seeking Bids for Timbering Service

The North East Borough Water Authority located at 31 West Main Street, North East, PA 16428, under the guidance of Shaffer Forestry Services located at 21663 Highway 86, Cambridge Springs, PA 16403 is seeking public bids for Timbering service on seven hundred and forty-six (746) sawtimber trees plus eight hundred and eighty-five (885) poletimber trees and one hundred and four (104) cull trees on approximately 90 acres owned by the North East Borough Water Authority in Greenfield Township, Erie County.

Bids will be publicly opened and read at the monthly North East Borough Water Authority Meeting on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at 31 West Main Street, North East, PA 16428.

Specifications may be obtained by prospective bidders from Shaffer Forestry Services by contacting their offices at (814) 398-2541 or at shafferforestry@gmail.com. Bids may be hand carried and delivered to Shaffer Forestry Services located at 21663 Highway 86, Cambridge Springs, PA 16403 by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 or may be mailed to the above address. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days after date of bid opening. The North East Borough Water Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept or reject any part of any bid, and to waive any irregularities in conjunction therewith.

  6. Agendas should be posted online a minimum of 3 days before public meetings take place allowing interested citizens an opportunity to hear discussions and offer input on matters important to them.
