North East Township Seeking Bids for Recycling Services

Notice for bids: North East Township will receive sealed bids labeled for the residential recycling services contract until 2:00 PM, May 17, 2018 at the North East Township Office, 10300 West Main Road, North East, PA 16428, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened.

Bids are invited for the following: to provide a comprehensive residential recycling program for North East Township, to include collection, transportation and processing of designated recyclable materials placed at curbside. Contractor to pay all costs associated with the collection, transportation and processing of the recyclables.

Contract Documents may be reviewed/obtained at the office of the North East Township Secretary, 10300 West Main Road, North East, PA 16428 (814) 725- 8606). Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified or cashier’s check or bid bond with corporate surety payable to North East Township in the amount of $5,000. Bids may be held by the Township for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract. Bids shall be announced at the meeting of the Board of Supervisors on May 21, 2018 at 9:00 AM, at the Township Building, at which time action to award a contract may be taken. North East Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities or minor deviations in the bidding.
