The Board of Supervisors of North East Township will consider the adoption of an ordinance entitled the “Motor Vehicle Weight Limitation and Bonding Ordinance of North East Township,” at it’s meeting on July 1st, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 10300 W. Main Road, North East, Pennsylvania 16428.
The Ordinance, among other things, establishes a restriction of 10 tons on the weight of vehicles operated upon identified portions of Bort Road, Archer Road, East Law Road and South Washington Street; provides for the issuance of permits and the posting of security for vehicles which travel on the identified roads but which are in excess of the weight restrictions, prescribes penalties for violations of the ordinance, provides for severability, a repealer and an effective date. A copy of the Ordinances are available for public review at the Municipal Building, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
