Richard Mellon, along with numerous politicians and veterans toured the former Mercyhurst campus which is now planned to be a veterans outreach and wellness center. Mellon was joined by PA Representative Jake Banta, US Representative Mike Kelly, former Governor Tom Ridge and many others.

The Mellon Heritage Foundation is purchasing the entire property with plans to create the veterans center, though it is still very early in the process and no specific plans have yet been announced.
