Granite Ridge sent out an update on recent campus developments and what has already taken place is extremely positive, with Erie Wedding & Event Services activating the chapel and a local couple developing programming in the gym space.
The most interesting part of the announcement below is the decision by Granite Ridge, “to list the property as available for both Lease and Sale to interested parties who will assist with preserving the campus for generations to come.”
Granite Ridge seems to be receptive to all sorts of ideas and it presents North East with an opportunity. Let’s see what the community can do with it.
The full announcement is included below:
Dear North East Friends and Neighbors
We hope you’ve had a beautiful and relaxing summer. The season offered us at Granite Ridge the opportunity to better learn our campus, make meaningful connections in the community, and begin to activate on our business plan pillars – social and milestone events, sports and theater programming, corporate events and office tenants, apartment home community.
As we shared earlier this year, our goal has been to activate Granite Ridge as an economic driver and community hub. We are pleased to have partnered with Erie Wedding & Event Services to activate the Chapel at Granite Ridge. Eve and Tom are deeply caring experts in producing one-of-a-kind meaningful milestone events. In our gym space, we have partnered with a local couple with marketing, health and fitness expertise and look forward to their developing programming. We have continued to work with interested prospects for short- and long-term tenancy and partnerships.
With the growing activity on campus, we have been approached by numerous groups interested in campus wide uses. In addition, this activity has also presented local individuals and investors seeking full and partial campus acquisitions. We appreciate the deep value a full campus user can bring. Given the unique nature of the facilities, as well as the undeveloped fields, we are exploring various options for greatest impact. Considering the interest, we have determined it best to list the property as available for both Lease and Sale to interested parties who will assist with preserving the campus for generations to come.
We appreciate the continued community support and welcome ideas, and uses, that can generate economic impact through Granite Ridge.

I am grateful to all the members of our community who attended the meetings and spoke when the Illegal Alien Detention Center was being proposed as a possibility. Strength in numbers! I hope the members of the community continue to stand up and speak out for that which is right and good!

It’s Gothic! “Batman” should live there!
Beautifully named also. Thank you for preserving it.
