North East Township supervisors will again consider the previously tabled request from Granite Ridge to sub-divide off a portion of the property during their regularly scheduled June 19th meeting at 9AM.
The lack of transparency from Granite Ridge and the Ehrenfeld companies about their intended plans for the property makes sub-division a contentious issue. As noted on this site many times, efforts to attract tenants for a wide variety of potential uses benefiting the entire community of North East seem to be very low key or non-existent, while Jonathan Ehrenfeld has refused to rule out the threat of turning Granite Ridge into a detention center for illegal immigrants. In return, there is no reason why North East should do anything to make it easier for him to do exactly that.
If you have concerns or questions about Granite Ridge and you can schedule the time, be sure to attend the 9AM Monday meeting and ask supervisors to table the request again.

Amazing! They schedule a meeting knowing full well that many who work for living can not attend. Sounds like something the current school board does. Surprised (not me)

I agree with Glenn 1000%. However, an issue that may effect your home, life and well being of the community, I think taking a few hours off to attend is a small price to pay.

The Township Planning Committee has held 4 consecutive meetings, to change zoning in the Township. Does anyone have information about the intent/purpose of the rezoning and the exact, proposed changes? I’m curious to learn whether the rezoning is to allow the subdivision of Granite Ridge

It’s an odd time to schedule such an important meeting..
Please keep everything out there for all to have the opportunity to voice their opinion…

Has there been a plan submitted to re zone the property? If there has, can it be shown to the public. If there hasn’t been :
Can the request be denied and can there be constraints on acceptance?
Is there a way to identify a cost factor on any structure that is to be built?
Only single family homes ( (no rentals) or section 8).

Thoughts on this please…
Bill Unger sent out notices last week that he will be entering all units for a periodic inspection..
I’ve been here 18 months, never had an inspection before. Also, he sent out back dated leases for us to sign. Many of our leases expired 6-9 months ago and he never had us sign them at that time.
Just seemed odd to me that all in week he suddenly needs all this done.
