Greenfield Township, Erie County, PA, hereby gives Notice of its intent to adopt proposed Greenfield Township Ordinance No. 2025-2, entitled “An ordinance of the Township of Greenfield, Erie County, Pennsylvania, providing for entering into a franchise agreement with Spectrum Northeast, LLC, an indirect subsidiary of Charter Communications, Inc., to provide cable service and telecommunications service in Greenfield Township, providing conditions with regard to installation, construction and maintenance, and on use and occupancy of streets, providing administrative matters and setting the franchise fee at 5% of gross annual receipts, providing for an initial term of fifteen (15) years commencing January 11, 2025; establishing insurance and other requirements and authorizing the proper officers of the township to execute the same” at a regularly scheduled Board of Supervisors meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2025, at the Greenfield Township Municipal Building, 11184 Rich Hill Road, North East, PA 16428.
The Ordinance and Franchise Agreement grants a non-exclusive franchise to Spectrum Northeast, LLC, an indirect subsidiary of Charter Communications, Inc., to construct and operate a cable television and telecommunications system within Greenfield Township for an initial term of fifteen (15) years beginning January 11, 2025, under and subject to the terms and conditions specified in the Franchise Agreement. The Franchise Agreement provides conditions with regard to installation, construction and maintenance of the cable system, and on the use and occupancy of roads. The Franchise Agreement also provides for administrative matters and sets the franchise fee at 5% of gross annual receipts and establishes insurance and other requirements.
A complete copy of the proposed Ordinance and Franchise Agreement may be examined and copied without charge at the Greenfield Township Municipal Building between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The public is invited to attend said public meeting.
