There’s still much work to be done on the Mellon Heritage Veterans Campus before many of the programs are fully operational, but progress is being made and the website is up and running which will have many additions in the coming days. So many of us in the North East community are glad to see the continual improvements and as the many challenges are met and dealt with we’ll be seeing many more.
If you’re a veteran, be sure to bookmark this site.

I am a Vietnam Veteran served in the USMC was overseas for 26 months. Here are a few
major problem’s there or too many centers to try and get a straight answer. I have asked questions and here are usually their answers. Go to West Eleven Street to Veteran Outreach Center, they can’t answer question, Go to Blasco Library they don’t know. They send up to the VA eligibility office, then they say call you congressmen he will tell you the VA should be able to answer your questions, and this goes on and on. Till you just give up. Veterans needs a place where someone is well versed on different programs and how to apply for them. Plus, help get the correct answers. There are too many people working in theses departments that do know themselves what the department has to offer. I am from North East Pa.

This veteran’s program looks fantastic. Veteran’s will now have a place to go for access to programs and assistance. Thanks to Richard Mellon and family, we will see our veterans get the assistance they need the future!

This is a great opportunity to reach veterans and their families. It also gives the VA another venue to. Reach our veterans. Also it gives us as veterans an opportunity to use our skills and experience to help other veterans and their families. Just simply meeting other veterans and sharing stories and comradery may just save a life
