During Monday’s NE Township supervisors meeting, the zoning ordinance update was discussed. Due to some confusion, the changes decided upon after the public hearing held before the last meeting had not yet been made to the ordinance and now will be made and completed before the next meeting on November 4th. The final version must be made available to the public for review, but how much time is necessary before the final vote was not clear since the public has already had time to review and comment on the ordinance before the previous hearing. The solicitor will determine if a vote can be taken to adopt the ordinance on November 4th or at the following meeting if more time is required.

Shouldn’t the solicitor have known this going into the meeting? He doesn’t seem very well prepared, considering how much the township pays him for legal advice.

I reviewed the former draft on September 30, for one hour at the Township, but have had no time to review changes or revisions.
Voting on the new Ordinance November 4 is not practical and severely lacking in transparency, I can’t believe the solicitor is even considering it
