Bids will be received by North East Borough at the Borough Office, 31 West Main Street, North East, PA 16428 until 11:00 a.m. prevailing time on June 30, 2023 for milling and resurfacing of two (2) Borough Streets.
Contract Documents, including technical specifications and drawings for the work, may be examined at the office of the engineer, Greenman-Pedersen, Inc., 8 Gibson Street, North East, PA 16428 (814-725-8659/sharris@gpinet.com). The Contract Documents may be obtained from Greenman Pedersen, Inc. upon a non-refundable payment of either $25 for electronic Contract Documents or $50.00 for hard copy Contract Documents. Bidders or vendors requesting next day or special mailing will be responsible for all mailing or shipping charges. Bidders must be on record at the issuing office as an official plan holder. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons or companies who have purchased a full set of contract documents.
The Bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the Borough of North East. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount shall be furnished by the successful bidder within fifteen (15) days after contract is awarded.
Prevailing wage will be applicable if project cost is $100,000 and greater. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any irregularities.
