In a unanimous vote, supervisors approved the $250,000 general obligation note to cover the costs of a waterline extension along Gay Road to Lola Lane. Funds from the water department have already been allocated to repay the note.
The project increases the size of the water line for residents in the area. The current lines have low pressure and running multiple water faucets in any home reduces it even further, and in the event a fire truck hooks up to fight a fire, water pressure drops to zero. This extension was planned to work with the water line project recently completed along East Lake Road.
The work will be performed by township employees and will make great use of the township’s new backhoe, saving money by eliminating the need to outsource the project.

A very necessary project to improve water pressure to residents in the area and increase safety in case of emergency or fire!
