Township Supervisors Set Tentative Date for Public Hearing on Zoning Ordinance Update

At their regular Monday meeting, North East Township supervisors were asked about the zoning ordinance updates currently under review. Supervisor Russ Lafuria said he had decided on three changes to the ordinance as submitted by the planning commission. Solicitor Tim Wachter said he would make the revisions and the final version would then be presented at a public hearing. The hearing will immediately precede the 7:30PM supervisors meeting on October 7th. A formal public notice will be published soon.

  1. In case anyone is interested, the Township has a meeting scheduled this Wednesday at 6 PM to provide a sewer expansion update for residents along the lake (from the last expansion by Mazza Winery to the Gay Road area).
