In the middle of the election cycle, after the primary election, but before the November mid-term elections, Pennsylvania made a change to both voter registration and mail in ballot requests by combining them into one form. County election officials throughout PA, struggling to make sure the election runs smoothly are not pleased.
Another change to the registration form is the addition of “non-binary/other” to the gender choices.
The new form is already online, but where was the discussion or public input? Why not wait until after the November election?
The PA voting process was the subject of much controversy in the 2020 elections and this kind of last minute change by the PA Department of State isn’t going to improve voter confidence or perceptions of election integrity.

That should be a ballot question. Everything should go through the people so that 2020 does not happen again. Let all the people decide.
