Greenfield Township Intends to Adopt Solar Zoning Amendment

Notice is hereby given that Greenfield Township, Erie County, PA intends to adopt Greenfield Township Ordinance No. 2025-4, which is an amendment to the Greenfield Township Zoning Ordinance, at a regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors to be held on October 13, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. at the Greenfield Township Municipal Building, 11184 Rich Hill Road, North East, PA 16428.

The proposed Amendment will add a new section to the Zoning Ordinance establishing uses, procedures, standards and regulations for solar energy systems within Greenfield Township, Erie County, Pennsylvania, including Ground-Mounted Solar Energy Systems and Accessory Solar Energy Systems, such as Building-Integrated Solar Energy Systems and Roof-Mounted Solar Energy Systems.

Copies of the proposed Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance are available for public inspection and may be copied without charge at the Greenfield Township Municipal Building, 11184 Rich Hill Road, North East, PA 16428 between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The public is invited to attend this public meeting.

Note: A public hearing on this proposed amendment will be held on October 7th.
