The primary election is coming up fast on May 20th, do you know who you’re voting for? Do you know anything at all about the candidates? Well, here’s your chance to meet them and hear what they have to say. The North East Community Foundation has scheduled a meet and greet to be held Monday, May 5th at 7:30 PM in the Ridge Building on the grounds of the Mellon Veterans Outreach Center. What better way to become an informed voter than to hear from the candidates themselves? Don’t throw your vote away on someone if you don’t even know who they are. Meet them in person and ask them questions.
Candidates for contested races including North East School District School Director, Borough Council, Township Supervisor, County Executive, Judge of the Court of Common Pleas 6th District and more will be given three minutes to make remarks.
Check the sample ballots, then go to the meet and greet to match a name with a face and find out what they stand for.
This is a great opportunity, maybe your only opportunity, to figure out who you’re going to vote for. Remember, May 5th at 7:30PM. Be there!
Candidates who are interested in participating should email Jen Smith or call 814-240-8507.
