Bids will be received by North East Borough at the Borough Office, 31 West Main Street, North East, PA 16428 until 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on April 30, 2026, for the sale of a vacant building lot located at 19 Smedley Street; North East, PA 16428, Parcel # 36005040000800.
The property has a minimum bid price of $25,000 and interested bidders must submit a proposal that outlines the plans for construction of a single or multifamily home on the parcel in accordance with the North East Borough Zoning Ordinance for properties within the R-B Multi-Family Residential Zoning District. Awarded bidders must also sign a Developers Agreement (available at link below) with North East Borough for the development of the property. The Bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the Bid, made payable to the North East Borough. All bids submitted by 10:00 am on Thursday, April 30, 2026, will be opened, examined and certified as complete or incomplete. All certified bid proposals will be presented to Borough Council for review. The winning bid proposal will be awarded at the regularly scheduled Borough Council Meeting on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Borough Hall; 31 West Main Street; North East, PA 16428.
The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive any irregularities.
