Keep in mind that this is not only a fishing tournament, there are several other activities like kids fishing as well as music planned throughout the day so the decision was not just directed toward the fishing tournament, but rather the event as a whole. The safety of everyone involved needs considered as well as the success of this 1st annual event.
Much planning and effort has gone into this event to date and we are looking to reschedule.
All registered participants will receive email updates as well.

The North East Community Marina released the event schedule for this Sunday’s Walleyes and Wailing Guitars fishing tournament, August 2, 2026. There’s a lot going on and the fishing starts early. If you think you have what it takes to bring in the biggest total catch for the win, here’s your chance.
There are multiple bands including Jake’s Blues, free fishing for kids, food trucks, bagpipes and more. Come on over, bring the whole family to the marina and join the fun.
