North East Borough Proposed Budget and Real Estate Tax Ordinance for Adoption at December Meeting

The Borough of North East does hereby give notice that the Borough Council thereof will consider at its regular meeting on the 21st day of December 2020 commencing at 7:00 p.m. prevailing time, remotely due to COVID -19 restrictions and available at https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/390009109 with Access Code #390009109 or Toll Free at : tel:+18773092073,,390009109#, for adoption, the 2021 Budget which will be available for public inspection during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Borough Hall located at 31 West Main Street; North East, PA 16428 from the date of the within Notice through the meeting date and further, the adoption of the Ordinance set forth below which maintains the real estate millage. Interested parties may offer written comments or appear at the meeting to offer oral comments.

TAX ORDINANCE 2021
An ordinance of the Borough of North East, County of Erie, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, fixing the tax rates for the year 2021. Be It Ordained and Enacted, and it is hereby ordained by the Borough Council of the Borough of North East, County of Erie, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania;

SECTION 1: That a tax be and the same is hereby levied on all real property within the Borough of North East subject to taxation for the fiscal year 2021 as follows:

For General Purposes, the sum of 4.75 mills (.00475) on each dollar of assessed valuation.
For Library purposes, the sum of .089 mills (.00089) on each dollar of assessed valuation.

Section 2: That any Ordinance, or part of Ordinance, conflicting with this Ordinance is hereby repealed insofar as it conflicts herewith.
