North East Borough is requesting Statements of Interest from consulting firms for engineering services associated with the Wellington Street Bridge Rehabilitation. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, preliminary engineering, final design, bidding and construction contract administration, and construction inspection. The project location is on Wellington Street over Sixteen Mile Creek in North East Borough; Erie County Pennsylvania.
Statements of Interest will be evaluated based on professionalism, success with working with municipal governments, and qualifications and experience in the design of local roads and bridges. The Statement of Interest must also contain the firm’s capacity, or availability of technical staff, to accomplish the engineering work to rehabilitate the pre-stressed non-composite adjacent box beam bridge.
North East Borough will procure a consultant by review of consultant qualifications using the modified selection procedure. A price proposal will not be requested until after a consultant has been selected. North East Borough encourages responses from small firms, minority firms and firms who have and have not previously performed work for North East Borough. Applicants and their proposed sub-consultants shall be subject to the Commonwealth’s Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause.
