North East Borough Water Authority Requests Bids for One Additional Water Improvement Project Contract

In addition to previous water improvement project contract bid requests:

The North East Borough Water Authority will receive bids for Phase 1 – Water Improvement Projects:

• Contract E – Sedimentation Tank Covers, Meter Vault Improvements & Pump Replacements.

Bids will be received until 10:00 a.m., local time on May 29th, 2025 at the Borough of North East, 31 West Main Street, North East, PA 16428, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

The contract shall consist of the following:
Contract E – The project consists of the construction of covers on the six (6) existing sedimentation basins, replacement in-kind of raw water pumps at Freeport Pump Station, and installation of provided magnetic flow meters in place of existing venturi meters.

Each bid must be accompanied by proposal security in the form of a certified check or a bid bond in the amount equal to not less than ten (10%) percent of the total base bid price in accordance with provisions contained in the “Instruction for Bidders” section of the specifications. Proposal security shall be made payable to the North East Borough Water Authority.

Copies of contract documents, including plans and specifications for the work may be examined at the Borough of North East, 31 West Main Street, North East, PA 16428. The contract documents may be obtained by contacting Northeast Blueprint & Supply Company (www.northeastblueprint.com ) at (216) 261-7500, upon advanced payment of one-hundred and twenty-five dollars ($125.00).Additional fees may be incurred for postage and handling, as applicable. All payments are non-refundable. Northeast Blueprint & Supply will maintain the official plan holder’s list. All bidders must be registered on the official plan holder’s list to submit an official bid for consideration. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons or companies who have purchased a full set of contract documents.

Prospective BIDDERS shall submit inquiries in writing to both Gus Maas, P.E. (gus.maas@burgessniple.com) and Emily Poach, EIT (emily.poach@burgessniple.com). The deadline for questions shall be May 23rd at 12PM local time. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of 60-days after date of bid opening.

This contract is subject to Pennsylvania Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Rate determinations. A copy of the prevailing wage rates is included in the Contract Documents.

The North East Borough Water Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding and to accept the bid serving the best interest of the North East Borough Water Authority.
