North East Township Joins Municipalities Seeking Bids for Bituminous Seal Coat

Advertisement for bids: Sealed proposals will be received by the Townships of Harborcreek, Greene, North East, Venango, McKean, and Waterford and the Boroughs of Edinboro, Girard and Waterford, Erie County, at the Harborcreek Township municipal building located at 5601 Buffalo Road, Harborcreek, PA 16421 until 10:00 a.m. and will be publicly opened and read aloud on Thursday, May 24, 2018 for the 2018 Bituminous Seal Coat Project, which includes the application of a single bituminous seal coat, polymer modified on various roads in Harborcreek, Greene, North East, Venango, McKean and Waterford Townships and Edinboro, Girard and Waterford Boroughs. The bituminous seal coat must be completed in a single pass (full width) without a longitudinal joint or seam. Prices for the application of a double seal coat for certain municipalities are also solicited. Proposals must be upon forms furnished by the Township.

Bid specifications and bid forms for each project may be obtained for a nonrefundable fee of $25.00 each from Harborcreek Township or by calling (814) 899-3171. Materials must be PennDOT approved. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid made payable to Harborcreek Township. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

  6. Agendas should be posted online a minimum of 3 days before public meetings take place allowing interested citizens an opportunity to hear discussions and offer input on matters important to them.
