North East Township Route 5 Waterline Extension Project Bids Being Accepted

Invitation for bids.
North East Township will receive sealed bids labeled for the Route 5 Waterline Extension Project, until 10:00 a.m. on the 23rd day of December, 2014, at the North East Township Building, 10300 West Main Road, North East, PA, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The Route 5 Waterline Project involves the following work:

Installation of approximately 4800 lineal feet of 6, 8 and 12 inch diameter ductile iron waterline, including valves, fittings, hydrants, service connections, testing, disinfection and surface restoration.

Contract documents prepared by Hill Engineering, Inc., including drawings and technical specifications, may be examined at the North East Township Building, 10300 West Main Road, North East, PA, and may be obtained from Hill Engineering, Inc., 8 Gibson Street, North East, PA 16428, 814-725-8659 for a non-refundable payment of $50. Bidders requesting the documents to be shipped will be responsible for the shipping charges. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons whose name and address are on record as having obtained the Contract documents.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond with corporate surety, payable to North East Township in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Total Bid Price. This Project is subject to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry Prevailing Wage Rate Determinations, which are included in the Contract documents.   6. Agendas should be posted online a minimum of 3 days before public meetings take place allowing interested citizens an opportunity to hear discussions and offer input on matters important to them.
