North East Township Seeks Bids for Twenty Mile Creek Fishing and Observation Deck

Sealed Bids will be received by the North East Township at 10300 West Main Road; North East, PA 16428, until 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on the 13th day of April 2018, for ADA Accessible Fishing and Observation Deck. Bids will be publicly opened and read at the above appointed time and place.

Proposed Accessible Fishing and Observation Deck involves construction of a 20-foot by 26-foot concrete deck with railing and bank protection on the west side of Twenty Mile Creek, north of Route 5.

Each bid must be accompanied by proposal security in the form of a certified check, bank cashier’s check, or bid bond in an amount equal to not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price in accordance with provisions contained in the “Instructions to Bidders” section of the specifications. Proposal Security shall be made payable to the North East Township.

Copies of contract documents, including plans and specifications for the work, may be examined at North East Township; 10300 West Main Road; North East, PA 16428 (814-725-8606); or at the office of Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. 8 Gibson Street, North East, Pennsylvania 16428 (814-725-8659). The contract documents may be obtained from Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. upon payment of $75.00. This payment is for each set of contract documents and is non-refundable. Bidders or vendors requesting the documents to be mailed will be responsible for all mailing or shipping charges. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons or companies who have purchased a full set of contract documents. Contractors must comply with the PA Department of Labor Wage Rate Determinations, as specified in the Contract Documents.

No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after date of opening. The North East Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept or reject any item or combination of items contained in any bid and to waive any irregularities in conjunction therewith.

  6. Agendas should be posted online a minimum of 3 days before public meetings take place allowing interested citizens an opportunity to hear discussions and offer input on matters important to them.
