North East Township Seeks Bids for Two Gravel Pit Park Playground Projects

The North East Township Supervisors, Erie County, Pennsylvania will receive separate bids until 11:00 A.M., prevailing time, on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at the office of the North East Township Supervisors at 10300 West Main Road, North East, PA 16428, at which place and time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for two (2) projects:

1. The Gravel Pit Park Playground Sidewalk Installation Project, generally consisting of the installation of approximately 570 lineal feet of concrete sidewalk and other appurtenant and restoration activities.

2. The Gravel Pit Park Playground Chain Link Fence Installation Project, generally consisting of the installation of approximately 468 lineal feet of chain link fence (4 foot height), gates and other appurtenant and restoration activities.

Contract documents, including drawings and technical specifications, may be reviewed at the office of the North East Township Supervisors, 10300 West Main Road, North East, PA 16428. Copies of the contract documents may be obtained by submitting a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 each to Mark J. Corey & Associates at P.O. Box 268, Harborcreek, PA 16421; (814) 897-3180 for each set of contract documents so obtained. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons whose name and address are on record with the Owner as having obtained the contract documents. A Bid Bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. A bid submitted without a Bid Bond will be rejected. Bidders are advised that Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage rates are applicable to these projects. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract.

  5. When municipalities seek bids for contract work, all bid documents should be available online, free of charge. Printed copies, if requested, should be offered at cost.
  6. Agendas should be posted online a minimum of 3 days before public meetings take place allowing interested citizens an opportunity to hear discussions and offer input on matters important to them.
