North East Township Zoning Hearing Board Schedules Public Hearing on Evandale Farm

The North East Township Zoning Hearing Board will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 7:00 pm. This hearing will be located at the North East Township Administration Building, 10300 West Main Road, North East, PA. 16428, to consider a Notice of Appeal request from
Evandale Farm, LLC.

The property location is 11575 Cole Road, North East, Pa. 16428, North East Township, Tax Parcel #37-029-131-0.008.00. The parcel is zoned R-1, Rural Residential, 130.89-acre, present use, Agricultural.

Evandale Farm LLC is asking for a Use Variance, a request to change the present use: Agricultural, to the proposed use: Commercial.

Uses will include:

  • Farming and Agriculture: Growing/Harvesting crops and livestock for human consumption.
  • Agri-Tourism: Farm to Table Dining, Retail Farm Store, Bed&Breakfast, Other farm related activities.
  • Tourism: Winery, Event Hosting for Wedding, Anniversaries, Parties, Live Music, Seasonal Festivals.
  • Recreational Activities: Hiking/Biking Trails, Camping-Cabin Rentals, Horseback Riding, CC Skiing.

All interested parties are invited to attend.
