Public Hearing on Use of Funds for North East Borough CDBG Program

Notice is hereby given that Erie County and its entitlement community of: North East Borough will conduct a public hearing at 10:00 AM on, October 7, 2026 at 31 W Main St. North East PA 16428. The purpose of the hearing is to obtain citizen input and comment on North East Borough’s proposed use of $94,623 in Federal Fiscal Year 2026 CDBG funds, and to receive any complaints or grievances regarding the borough’s CDBG funds.

This meeting is accessible to individuals with disabilities and/or for persons with Limited English Proficiency. If you wish to attend and require special accommodations, please notify the CDBG Administrator office 72 hours in advance of the public hearing at 814-451-7330 or acunningham@eriecountypa.gov to make such arrangements.

The projects that have been recommended for funding and will be discussed at the hearing include:

  • North East Boro. Wall St. Sidewalk Curbs, & Driveway Aprons Replacement Project: $ 78,538
  • Program Administration funding: $16,085
  • Total Grant Request: $94,623

None of the above listed and described activities are expected to result in displacement.

The deadline to submit the 2026 CDBG Application is 10/28/2026. The application documents will be available for public inspection at the County of Erie Department of Planning and Community Development, 150 East Front St., Suite 300 Erie Pennsylvania 16507 during normal business hours.

The deadline to receive written comments on the County’s proposed use of CDBG funds, and/or any complaints or grievances regarding the Borough’s CDBG funds is 10/16/2026 and may be forwarded to: Tony Cunningham at 814-451-7330, acunningham@eriecountypa.gov, or mailed to Attn: Tony Cunningham The County of Erie Department of Planning and Community Development, 150 East Front St., Suite 300 Erie Pennsylvania 16507.
