Veterans: Please join us for a special MVOC event at the Ridge Building this Friday, September 20th, at 10:00 a.m.
For the past few months, the North East Crazy Quilters have been working on a set of Service Appreciation Wall Hangings for the Ridge Building. The North East Crazy Quilter organization was founded in 1985. Its 14 members share an interest in and are highly skilled in the art of quilting. The Quilters have designed and constructed a series of quilts designed to serve as wall hangings at the Ridge Building to honor our armed forces and those Veterans who have proudly served in each branch.
These wall hangings are now finished and they will be formally presented to Mellon Heritage Foundation, Inc. and the Mellon Veterans Outreach Campus on Friday morning. It would be nice to have a strong showing of our local Veteran Community present, to show our appreciation for their tremendous effort.
There we will also be lunch on Campus with tables set up and serving a variety of subs and snacks from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
We’re looking forward to seeing everyone this Friday at 10:00 AM.
