Mellon Heritage Foundation to Formally Dedicate the Veterans Activity Center

The Mellon Heritage Foundation has announced they will “Present and Raise the Colors” formally dedicating the new North East Veterans Activity Center at 12:00PM, Saturday, February 17th at 16 West Division Street in North East, PA. All veterans are invited. There will be food, refreshment and music following the ceremony.

It hasn’t taken long for M. Richard Mellon to begin the process of transforming the former Mercyhurst campus into what is sure to become a new, excellent and hopefully permanent chapter for the property and for the entire North East community.

  1. Everyone has the right to know what their government is doing.
  2. Transparency is expected in all government meetings and daily operations.

  6. Agendas should be posted online a minimum of 3 days before public meetings take place allowing interested citizens an opportunity to hear discussions and offer input on matters important to them.

I’m looking forward to visiting with fellow vets and helping to celebrate the dedication of this facility as we “Present and Raise the Colors”.

  2. I’m really excited about this development. I was very upset when the former owners forced us into a position that we had to leave that beautiful space after working so hard to make it a wedding & event venue. I’m glad it’s going to be used for a good purpose.
