The North East School District has notified the community of an investigation of a district employee. No other information has been made available.

This correspondence is to inform you that law enforcement authorities are currently conducting an investigation involving a District employee. The employee has been placed on administrative leave pending further review, outcome, and in compliance with all District policies and applicable laws. Placement on administrative leave is a procedural measure and does not constitute a determination regarding the allegations.
The District is fully cooperating with law enforcement and will continue to do so throughout the investigative process. Because this matter involves personnel and legal considerations, the District is limited in the information it may disclose.
The District will take all appropriate actions consistent with the findings of the investigation and in compliance with applicable laws and policies.
The district remains committed to providing exceptional educational opportunities and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all students.

Initial resignation by this teacher was accepted by the board on 1/15/26 for June 5, 2026.
Updated resignation accepted by the board on 2/19/26 effective immediately.
Will be following for details from the state police investigation . The public is not privy to the “why” of the initial resignation but interesting timing and that he was planning on finishing out the school year. Will await any further details but wondering if the district already knew something in January?
As a community member/parent mentioned in the mtg last night, we want transparency yet respect legal proceedings. Parents of children in the district should stay on top of this story.
