North East Borough Zoning Hearing Board to Meet

The North East Borough Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, July 13, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. in the North East Borough Chambers, 31 West Main Street, North East, PA 16428. The Zoning Board will hear the following variance request: Kathryn Wittman, owner of 173 Eastwood Drive, (Parcel No. 36003009000400) and her husband, Jerome Wittman, Jr., request a variance to install an above ground 4’ x 21’ round pool and a 12’ x 16’ deck on the side of the pool. The named parcel lies in a R-A Single Family Residential Zoning District. Zoning Ordinance No. 797, Chapter 27, §27-503 (1) and §27-406 require lots which abut more than one street provide the required front yards a minimum 30’ along each street.

Anyone with an opinion either for or against this request may be heard. Any person with a disability requiring special accommodations to attend this meeting should notify the Borough at 725-8611 five (5) working days prior to the meeting.   6. Agendas should be posted online a minimum of 3 days before public meetings take place allowing interested citizens an opportunity to hear discussions and offer input on matters important to them.
