President Trump announcing $10 billion investments in PA

President Trump announced almost $10 Billion of new investments for PA at the just completed Defense and Innovation Summit. An Erie firm was listed among the recipients for part of that package:

Sphere Brake Defense (Erie) — A $4.5 million U.S. Marine Corps contract for certification and production of sphere brake kits for the Amphibious Combat Vehicle fleet, supporting three additional Erie hires.

Investments were made to many companies throughout Pennsylvania for the purpose of:

  • Strengthening the Defense Industrial Base
  • Fielding Emerging Technology — AI, Autonomy & Space
  • Building the R&D and Workforce Pipeline

These investments will create over 4000 jobs and many are exactly the kinds of jobs where preparation and training is available through BuildFreedom.us.

This is a great step forward for PA and it will likely lead to expanded opportunities beyond these initial investments and jobs. Again, these kinds of jobs require skilled applicants, but training is available for the motivated individual. You can find out more here.

  2. Transparency is expected in all government meetings and daily operations.
  3. Everyone working in the government works for, and is answerable to, you and me.
  4. All laws, regulations, ordinances, budgets, audits and other public records should be freely available, preferably online, for citizens to examine without special fees and paperwork before they can do so.
  5. When municipalities seek bids for contract work, all bid documents should be available online, free of charge. Printed copies, if requested, should be offered at cost.
  6. Agendas should be posted online a minimum of 3 days before public meetings take place allowing interested citizens an opportunity to hear discussions and offer input on matters important to them.
